About the event

We all know what it’s like to know what we should do and still struggle to do it. The same patterns show up every day in nonprofit work: an employee avoids a difficult conversation, a colleague’s perfectionism stalls progress, a client struggles to follow through, or we find ourselves procrastinating on something we know matters.


In this interactive training, we’ll explore the often-invisible patterns behind self-sabotage and why knowing better doesn’t always lead to doing differently. We’ll look at common patterns such as avoidance, perfectionism, people-pleasing, hypervigilance, and the need for control, and consider how they can influence our behavior, relationships, leadership, and work with the people we serve.


Through reflection, discussion, and real-world scenarios, participants will learn how to recognize these patterns in themselves and others and respond in ways that make movement and change more possible.
